CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS | LUMPEN MAGAZINE 142: DEMOCRAZY

The DNC is returning to Chicago and Public Media Institute and Lumpen Magazine are inviting artists, writers, and community organizers to participate in our call for submissions for Lumpen Magazine 142: Democrazy.

Help us to confront the legacy of the 1968 DNC protests, when artists and activists came together to protest the Vietnam War and were met with police violence and state repression. Lumpen 142: Democrazy will revisit these histories while engaging with the urgent political movements of today. Pitch us about the then, the now, or the worlds that are possible tomorrow.

WHAT TO SUBMIT:

- Written Contributions (i.e. essays, interviews, etc.)

- Artwork (i.e. comics, posters)

- DNC Events (i.e. actions, workshops, poetry readings etc)

WHO CAN SUBMIT:

National and international contributors are welcome to submit with an emphasis on community organizing and those working towards radical change.

Contributions may be submitted to bit.ly/democrazy-submit

Submissions are due by Friday, May 10 at 11:59 PM (CST).
